WOrking a deal (finally) on a '56 Chevy UI have wantred for well...a long while now.

Car is all stock except the wheels and l;ater small block both done many years ago (it's been garaged a couple of decades according to the story).

Hopefully the car will be a thread on it own, once it's "all mine".

But right now I am curious if the MAGS on it are anything special.

They aren't my thing so I'll have no use for them.

Didn't take them off yet to look for stampings, etc. on the backs, but took some photos.

    =====
    They look like they are
    15x6 and 15x7
    or maybe
    15x7 and 15x8.

Valve stem is in edge of a slot, not at the bead.

Wider ones have a good bit of offset. Not too bad looking.

Anyway - thanks for any help.

Pictures are of a rear, a rear again, and a front one.

They appear to be rare aviation wheels.

No, they are Keystone Snomags. In a snowstorm. But at least the fronts and rears match.

These wheels are extremely rare and hard to find. I have a NOS set around here somewhere...

Those are very rare wheel, only 4 set were made. Since the ID is larger than the OD of the wheels, lug nuts were not required on the left side of car, they were only needed on the right side. The magnetic aluminum held them on. The bolt pattern on all 4 sets was 9 on 2.6785.

on it own, once it's "all mine".

If I remember correctly, the "on it own" was a mid year offering from Fenton Wheels in 1966. They were a Fuchsia colored 9 spoke with a Paisley rim made entirely from Kryptonite.

Original Lug Nutz alone will bring an easy 100 Grand on E-gay.
