Trying to generate some heat in this cold climate. Can any and all of you share your flame paint shots. Slim
here are a few I have done for people. Some may not be very traditional, but I figured I would add to the flames.
Im sure this isnt quite what your looking for.. but what the hell.. when I sanded down primer and a layer of paint I uncovered an old flame job on my 50 shoebox..
Here's some old stuff I posted before;a flame job done in blended alklyd enamel heated on a hot plate(no reducer)and sprayed in a friend of mine's living room circa 1974.He had a garage but no heat. His wife still hasn't forgiven me for that.
Just roughed on with a magic marker to make my patterns on paper to apply to the car after finish paint. Just rattle canned to get an idea of the look. Still needs minor tweaking of a few licks, but will pretty much look like this with the same colors on a gloss black body.
did these watson style seaweed flames on my old shoebox (04),,they were on the hood, roof and trunk,,,wish i had some better pictures,,but these are all i could find right now,,,,,17 hours of layout, taping, and masking,,,and about an hour to paint,,hahah...the car now resides in finland...purchased by a hamber..........
