"And just for the record"---The German company "ALLWEG" that built the monorail system all around Disneyland in 1955, approached the L.A. City Council with a proposal to build a COMPLETE monorail travel around the L.A. area for the LARGE SUM of 5 CENTS of each fare collected!!!!
Now, guess who was sitting on the Council??
Thats right, big 3 auto makers, big oil, so fearing a BIG reduction in consumer use by taking the monorail every day transportation, the L.A. City Council voted the generous proposal DOWN!!!!

Big thanks, Ron. I think that the biggest benefit of Dog's thread is on probing people's memories. It ain't perfect, but I think that the regs take it seriously.

We all die some day. Why not leave behind the memories located between our old ears? When we die, it's gone. I only say this, as I have written two family histories, so I know how awful it is just to WISH that you could ASK someone one or two questions, face to face, so to speak. When they are gone, it's out of the question.
