The story goes like this.......My 11 year old son had saved up enough dough to buy a dirt bike and mom and dad didn’t want him to kill himself on a bike. Luckily one day we came across an estate sale with this 54 4dr in the driveway. My son said I want one of those for my first car. It just so happens the owner heard him and said "make me an offer, I don’t want to have to haul it away". My son told him all he had was what he saved up for his dirt bike and that was $1000. The man responded with "well then boy, it sounds like you have a decision to make, Dirt bike or this car". The boy chose well, AND HE DON'T CARE IF ITS A 4DR!ffice:eek:ffice" />

Wow. My dad was nice enough to help me buy my 51 when i was 16, but he sure as hell didnt do any work on it for me!! Your son is going to "get all the hynas with his firme ranfla".. Looks much better than it did when you bought it.

How long did it take you to do all this work?

Exactly one year! Many people tried to talk us out of wasting our time and money on chopping the 4dr but when it was all said and done more and more people have fallen in love with it.

Not my shop but yes it is in Hayward. I have a funny feeling you know whose shop it is though....;). Ladies and gentleman, Tony Parker is the one responsible for this amazing looking car. We told him what we wanted, dropped the car off and this was the finished product.

Cool story, good to know the kid can save that kind of money and put a value to it instead of always looking for a handout. You should be proud, but do not be surprised if he still wants a dirt bike, those can be A LOT of fun also... :)

Both wheels and tires were a Pete Paulsen special, extras he had laying around. It sure is nice having a guy like Pete living right down the road:D
Tires = Coker G78-15
Wheels = Pete Paulsen Steelies

Nice looking car! Your son will have a really sweet looking car by the time he is old enough to drive. Spend the time and teach him all you know, he will never forget it and you will have a very talented son.
Congrats on the car, your son is very lucky to have a father to help guide him in life!
