Spell-binding photos. Phantasmagoric, gritty, ephemeral. Great eye for taking photos and great talent for production. I hope one day you can shoot mine if you ever attend an event in AZ.

Thanks Paul and sixpac! FYI - my next major car show outings will be to Lone Star Roundup and the Stray Kats 500.

Does anyone know what year this one is? I am pretty sure its a Ford, but if that is not true, please correct me. Thanks.

  9. Center grille and front clip appear to be '51-52 Ford F-1.

    really neat art!

did you by chance take any of the non-descript plain looking black 32 roadster in the suede palace (next to the patina'd green truck)?

But, then you just keep pushing the boundaries! Amazing Art!

Thanks Butch, Bardahl and Rocky! Bardahl- sadly I don't think I got either of those cars even though I wanted to. It was mostly nuts the 3 or 4 times I was in the suede palace - so a lot of times, I can't get what I think will be a fixable shot.

Thanks so much, Rocky. This one was actually one of the hardest ones here because the black 39 or 40 Ford was pretty dusty by that point. I tried a couple new techniques to clean her up that mostly worked.

Yes, it indeed does (He's my boss). He drove it there from NorCal, too. It is a real blast. Rain or shine!

Great shot of the Buick above, Dan! I loved everything about that car, and yes the chrome is that color! Any one on here the HAMB lay claim to it?

Thanks Bob - it was a beautiful, yet pretty illusive car. I assume they annodized the chrome or something.

Isn't that copper plating? one of the pre-processes before the chrome is applied.

You are most welcome Tim! Thanks for taking the time to check them out. As for the copper, I think you might be right Rocky - possibly the plating that goes on before the chrome and then they polished it. I would love to know for sure - it certainly looked pretty cool.

Saw a '54 Chevy at Paso in '07 with all the plating done like that. Have a picture on my computer files, but, I don't know how to post it here.

All these pictures are incredible! My wife's car is the Pontiac at the bottom of page 5, we were both thrilled to se how cool it looks in your picture.

My friend Eric Thorsen upholstered that Buick with the copper bumpers. He said that it is in fact a step away from full chrome. Apparently the owner liked the copper so much after they got everything straight that he had them clear coat it and put the car together with the copper.
