I've had my hood and trunk lid louvered on my 30 Model A coupe. If I punched round holes in my visor would it look alright? I don't want louvers there. by the way t's not the coupe in my avatar it's another.
Just wondering if the louvers on the hood and lighting holes in the visor would look good together. I see louvered trunks and holes in the visors but no hoods on the cars shown. does anyone have pic of both on the car? Thanks by the way both those cars pictured look wicked fast.
Chad, I've already had Harold louver the hood and deck lid. I was gong to drill the visor like my old coupe but don't know if louvers and holes would look good together. By the way I have not forgot about the other visor. Alot of things been happening here. I'll pm ya later. Can anyone tell me what tools you need to dimple the holes?
Don't worry about it Charlie!!! I think I got a visor figured out, I'm having the sheetmetal shop bend me something up tomorrow and I'll be seeing if it'll work. Why not just have your visor louvered?? You need the Dimple dies from the Mitlerbros.com, they are pretty pricey so prepare yourself, and a buy a tube of prep-H before you check the website!!!
If you already have louvers in the hood and deck, that's how I would do the visor too. I would go an extra step and make the visor match the same pattern as the hood. 'Course, I would match the deck and hood too. I think holes, although I like them, would be one step too close to "too much goin' on" on the same car.
lighting - as a verb, it means to ignite, as a noun is describes equipment or methods of providing illumination lightning - the flashes of electricity that commonly cause thunder lightening - the removal of metal (or any other material) to reduce weight of an object smartass- guys with nothing better to do than to exhibit their asinine penchant for their facility with the idiom of the realm. sorry....sometimes I just can't help myself as to the subject at hand, the round holes with the chamfered? pressed edges look best, although larger patches of sheet metal are definitely enhanced by a plethora of louvers dj
I usually like things to be parallel, but I never thought twice about mixing louvers & lightening holes.
Dimple dies are pretty easy to make if you have access to a lathe or know someone with one, Here are pics of the 2 halves of the tool.
