My friend (that I took the trip to Ohio with) wound up buying this '32 Ford Roadster.
He is now considering a top for it.
    What have you folks done??
Any suggestions for kits, or home made, or any for sale??
Top windshield is chopped 2" and it has a 2" stretch also.
    Thanks much,
    Cheers,
    Bob

Sid Chavers Bop Top! Best looking roadster top available in my opinion. Put one on my dads '32 before we went to Bonneville, saved our butts! Sid's a HAMBer too!

Neil Gates in LA makes a very nice original style top with stainless irons and oak bows. He can make any style you want. Not cheap but perfect in execution. Here is his irons with a 3 inch chop and leaned back 7 degrees.

Check us out at www.topsters.com. (Thanks Barry!) The main diferences between a Topster and the other aftermarket frames is 1) our 2 piece cast aluminum windshield header, and 2) the Topster comes completely apart for easy storage in your trunk or behind the seat. The top material unsnaps from the frame and header for separate storage wherever you want to put it.( as opposed to wrapping the 4' wood header up in the top material, because it's permanently attached, creating a 4' x 1' bundle to store somewhere) Check it out!

I have a friend that has a hard top for one but I'm not sure the chop or if it's stretched any.

  18. I agree with this choice as well. But I would by direct from Sid and not from a second vendor if at all possible. Always better to cut out the middle man.

Mr Chavers is on here by the way. I don't remember his screen name but someone will for sure.
