Both should really be a blast. I will start a seperate thread about the show in just a few minutes called Drag Bash look it up. Now back to the Novas I have a ton of cool nova pics that I have saved from various sites and I will try to post them in the next couple days before I go to Columbus. Later Scott
I was building this one back in the early 70's, but never got it done. Got an offer, to good to refuse and sold it. Wish I had it now.
Question: I have a 63 2dr hardtop i want to gasser... but how do you radius the rear wheel wells? or how do you decide what diff to use? I wanna run a cut down ford 9" but how do i know my width?
63 nova ss . Blown 327, turbo 400, 9 in rear w/ 411 gears. Motor is roller motor, solid lifters, world heads, forged blower pistons. H beam rods and all hardware is ARP.
Here is mine.... a 427 4 speed and it gots attitude Click on the pictures A trip to the beer store A ride downtown
I have seen the white one of Smokin Bill's on here on several occasions--it is a VERY nice and well done car--
I sure am, I was just going to ask you the same question. I'm looking forward to watching the shootout on Sun. Are you going for both days?
You bet I am.........were 8 hours away and wont leave till we got a winner. Do you run with the nostilga assocition ?? I have never been to Byron, how is the track ?? We will have to get a picture or two together. Cant wait.......this winter stuff sucks
Was seriously thinking about it. Depends on the weather, Ive heard that place turns into a mud hole when it rains, but if the weather holds.............
Great! This will be my first time there. I'll be getting there early, hopefully there's a "high & dry" area I can pit at.
Johnny, no I don't run with any of the nostalgia groups. The track is great the owners call it the "house of hook" the traction is second to none. The track is also an old original from 63 or 64. Last year was awesome even though it rained all morning , and we still had a big turnout. I would love to get some pictures with your car. It should be huge this year.
I just finished a 63 nova gasser. It has a blown 327, turbo400, and a9 inch rear. I used Unisteers new rack and pinion with a straight axle from speedway . This combo worked Awsome. The only modification was to notch the oil pan. I named the car Red Riding Hood. Let me know if you would like to see some pics
