Flapper's 55 gasser

    I started on the 55 in November, I have been working on it every weekend and almost every night. Hope to be ready for first ONDR race in May. BB Jerico Ford 9" should go pretty good!

    Flapper, Holy Shit you work fast, Chris was telling me about going to Grand Bend I had no idea you might be ready with the 55, I thought it would the Ole reliable 57. Anyway awesome and Good Luck. Oh Ya, Welcome to the HAMB you are going to love it. Larry :cool::cool:

    Looks good, you may want to take them spring perches off the rear for some housing floaters instead with using the ladder bars. There going to fight each other if you don't.

    WOW, that looks all too familiar... You guys are doing a great job!!! And I know, THE DOG DRANK ALL THAT BEER. Hope your wife hates you less than mine hated me through the process...:D

    Thanks for the positive comments!! The Vega steering box is in and the clutch is fabricated and ready to install. The Drag link and tie rod bar are in. The beer is always drank after the fabrication!! Lots to finish up this week

    I installed the bearings, rotors, calipers. It was a feel good night, the car is sitting on the ground at ride height in the front. I think the wheelbase is killer!!

    Nice work, the 55 is looking great! Hope the beer was being consumed grinding welds vs. when you were welding!

  28. Dummy question. Why did you scratch fab a new Z bar? Was it easier than trying to make a stock one work with the big motor?
    I like the work.
