okay gang...here we go. I finally got the spirit back, and the adapter from Wilcap!
The adapter was needed, to place the engine in the right position.
to you guys that dont know..the car sported a cadillac flathead, and used a ford sideshifter trans. a little odd compo, but i am true to the year 1951.. so this is what i am doing.
    I promised pictures..

heres the mill..48 caddy. just like the one used back then.

the engine had a complete clean up..the easiest rebuild ever. but it looked good, and I are going to take the change. never heard it running though!

here it is..looking spanking new! and as you can see my CYCLONE heads finally will be used as more than wallhangers

and with the help from my Friend Buddy Walker, this nice offenhauser bellhousing was found..Wilcap had it over, and heres the result:

within the next 2 weeks..I really hope to have it back on its own wheels.

    stay tuned

I just realised my oil filler isn't a mutant thing after all....the one on my La Salle motor is the same as yours.

    Here I am Palle,
Spent 4 days at the GNRS walking around, yapping taking in kool kars, just having a good time. Really liked Keith Christopher's Cyclone powered A-Bone that was up for the BIG trophy. I wish that it would have won, but that show is not about traditional cars,it's more about pushing the envelope.

I'm so glad that you have got the heads on the block! Wow, this is going to be a killer build! I'm stoked for you. It is making and preserving history, Can't wait to see the build progress. Now I have ta get back out to the shop and finish 2 more sets of Cad Heads for a couple of other HAMBers, Thanx for the update pix.

    CK

That looks just so great Palle.

Looking forward to see the frame on its four wheels again... and then the body on the frame.
