'55-'57 Chev "power pack"

    What was included in the chev factory "power pack? was cam upgraded or just 4barrel and duals? thanx

    The power pack had upgraded heads, a four barrel carb, dual exhaust and the brake and fuel lines were moved to the outside of the frame.

    They had more compression with the different heads. They required premium fuel vs. reg.
     
  4. From memory......start of availability was in 1956....
    Dual EXhaust-
    Four barrell intake and carb
    Power pack heads [denoted by a :triple crown marking"[3 points]on the raised" block" marking at lower frt of heads...the same block marking with ONE point denoted a two barrell carb.....

    you could get the 265 power pack in 1955. they called it "super turbo fire"

    I bought a new '55 with the 265 w/powerpack. It only consisted of 4 barrel and dual exhaust. My avatar picture was taken in '55. Note the original exhaust tips.
