Those would be 80's stuff and not really traditional in any respect. I sure could do some good donuts in the middle of the road when the 48 hit puddles with N-50's on the back though. They hydroplane real well. Any tire listed as an N tire should be bias ply rather than radial as far as I know.
yes there are....... there's 295/50/15's. They are very popular with the GN Buick crowd. Running five lbs of air gets bite better than any slick.
295's just dont have the look of the N-50's , i dont think anyone makes radials , ive look but have not been able to find any . i have an old pair of 305/50/15 on the back of my truck but even those look right
295 = N so it's not the fact that it's metric that makes it look wrong, it's the fact that it's a radial.
im sure thats a big part of it , the metrics just dont LOOK as tall , the sidewall just looks so much cooler on the N-50's
It's the sharp corner at the edge of the tread. Radials don't have it. Also the bulge on a bias ply is more round, the radials are more droopy
