Headin to Tulsa next weekend for the Chili Bowl and was wondering what there is to do that is Hot Rod related?
Go by the Hot Rod Garage in Sand Springs. They are on the Northwest side of Tulsa and not far from downtown. They've always got some neat projects in the works. Sam
I've been to the Bowl once, in 07. I was planning on going to Hot Rod Garage also. I delivered a 32 truck grill to a guy there that was cool as hell and had a ton of hot rod stuff. He did fiberglass work for race cars. Don't remember the name or where he was. Anything else? And yes Cloud 9 is on the agenda....
I spent a week in Tulsa one night .... but if a guy loves midgets and cant get enough of them then Tulsa two weeks after xmas is the place to be. Take lots of pics with the midgets .... but remember what happens in Tulsa stays in Tulsa.
We like to hit up the town pump lounge on 33rd and Memorial before the races, then afterwards on Thurs and Fri night the Caravan which is a country bar at 51st and Memorial. Unfortunately I don't get to stay thursday night this year because I couldn't get off of work on friday. But I did arrange to leave work at 4 tuesday thru friday so hopefully I won't miss many of the heat races.
Hot Rod Garage is off 412, just west of Sand Springs. 129th West Ave Exit. Go south over 412, then left.
