Today was move in day, so not much except my truck and the surrounding stuff.... A quick stop in front of Honest Charley's before we checked in. I'll get some real pics of the cars tomorrow. The Mater truck belongs to the Austin Hatcher foundation. My buddy Dave (kustomrace) is in charge of that deal. More to come...
I'd rather go to Honest Charlies or Coker Tires than waste my time at WOW, that show is a joke. Hell the little show next to the battle field in Fort o has a better gathering of vintage or classic cars, and it's free.
i was in Chattanooga on tues and saw the ad. there is a lot of OT stuff at WOW shows but i always liked them anyways.
honest is next to Coker also part owner of honest, good place for photo opp for your machine, they encourage it
Didn't realize that was this weekend, just so happens I'll be in Chattanooga Saturday - hmmmm. Neat place, they have display cases full of their old catalogs and memorabilia, as Eugene said Coker Tire is adjacent (the two take up the whole block). The Coker tour was great, they have an awesome collection have vintage cars, bikes, and race cars on display. We went his past summer, what's REALLY cool is that they seem just as excited as you do that you're there. Not to Hijack but here's the thread I posted last summer and a pic of mine and a couple of friends cars: Honest Charleys tour
I snapped a few more today. Alot of nice stuff, just not much Hamb friendly. One vendor had some really cool old gas signs and pumps.
haven't been to the WOW show in a long time. It just hasn't been worth the ticket price in recent yrs imo. that RPU is NICE! we need to get together sometime..love to see that truck.
Thanks for the good words on the truck. You're always welcome here. Bring the '37 when you come. Detroit Autorama in the basement is next....
Picture from 05' Been to WOW one time. We have a swap meet here in Middle TN this weekend. Gonna check it out. Best of luck to all participating in the WOW's
I deliver a lot to Roofing Supply, a block over from Coker and Honest Charlie's. Haven't had time to go over and check them out yet, but have got to see a lot of nice iron come in there in the mornings.
