Lebowski, THANKS for sharing the great photo
of me (middle), you (left) and, of course, Chryco
there on the right! HAPPY NEW YEAR, every-
    body!

I don't know (but I suspect) that 2011 has been
just as shitty for others, not just our family, in
this recession. My mom died at 85, and my dad
is suffering from loneliness and stress. But I
always know that HAMB brothers and sisters
are there with their enthusiasm for whatever
trips their triggers, historically. So, I am okay.

I say, God bless Ryan Cochran, Paul, Metal-
shapes and ALL of the great folk who make the
HAMB the most bodacious forum on the internet!

May 2012 bring everyone better fortunes. HAPPY
NEW YEAR, and THANKS for your company and
good humor in an otherwise awful year. Peace,
and limitless appreciation to all our vets and cur-
    rent fighting men and women!

I'm sorry to hear about your mom. At least she made it to 85. My mom died in 1997 at the age of 69 from breast cancer. My dad has been miserable ever since. Now he's 84, has Alzheimer's, is living in an old folks home, and is even more miserable than he was before. Hopefully 2012 will be a better year for all of us....

    Cheers Lebowski and Jimi!!
I dont know what i would do if i didnt have the hamb
    its engrained in me

lost my mom and my sister in 95,
sister killed herself cause she was dying of diabetes.
mom had stomach cancer, found it in nov, dead in jan.
dad hung on for a few yrs, went down hill, he died in 07
wifes mom died 6 months after moving in with us back in 99
not sure what caused it. My wife came and woke me one night around
midnight, she says i think my mom is dead, i said 'no way'
so i went and looked, she was laying down on her back,
hands folded on her stomach, and a smile on her face.
she died in her sleep. in the same spot i am sitting as i type.
wifes dad died of throat cancer, lasted less than 5 months after surgery.
lost my job last july, got laid off after 15 yrs county job.
got a little retirement, unemployment and some side jobs.
I am starting a new business in the new year..
MR H Performance, we'll see how it goes..

Have a drink or smoke or whatever you do and lets toast !!
Happy New Year from Novadude to You..

Thanks, man. We're on the same page. My mom bore me in 1950 at the only hospital in Louisa, KY. So we're fellow briar-hoppers, I guess. ;) Not to get too far off topic, but HAMBers do care about one another and connect where it matters. Happy New Year, buddy. :D

Up here, we are getting ready to go outside at midnight and listen for all the folks to shoot their guns off. Waste of ammo, but it's always FUN :p at New Year!!! :D

(All joking aside, nobody here has shot down a sight-seeing plane on New Year here, yet.:p)
