Just heard from a friend that Colorado drag racer Bill Rice died today in Wyoming snowmobiling, apparently the wind blew a tree over on him. He was racing partners with Mark Williams. I think they just debuted their "Yellow" restored dragster at Bakersfield this year. I did'nt know him but knew of him and thought I would just pass the word. Condolences to the family.

Bill was a dear family member who was friends with many and respected by the entire motorsports community. Bill had a passion for motorsports and for life that was contagious, you couldn't help but smile when around him. You will be truly missed Bill, rest in peace.

Billy Rice and Jr. Kaiser are true legends in Colorado. I am proud to have been his friend.

Billy was one of my heros growing up, I remember going to the races with my dad (Roy Golightly) and how much everyboby respected Bill and how much fun he always seemed to be having.
    His enthusiasm will be missed.

Sad news. My younger brother worked for Mark williams when his shop used to be on 1-70 and vasquez blvd in denver. I have forwarded this info to him. I am sure he knew of bill.
    RIP Bill.

  10. Wow. This is tough to hear. When God says it's time to go, it's time to go. Doesn't make it easier for those left behind for now. My prayers go out to his family and friends.
