What do you think of my Deuce?

Opinion? Well, the "patina" in just those few sections could almost put it the "I'm lazy" or "I ran out of money" catagories. If anything, spray something on it, all over. Cycle fenders would even out the look as well as a roof insert. The skull gives it a "death-mobile" look. It's played out.

Other than that, it's a cool car that anyone would be proud to own and drive.

For the people suggesting he "not worry about other peoples opinions", asking opinions is a way for someone to gather ideas and inspiration. "Build it how you want", does nothing in the quest for knowledge.

What do I think of your Deuce? I think it is 1,000 times better than any Deuce I will ever have! The only thing I would change is the title into my name. ;)

What do I think you should do with it? Drive it! :D

    are those bronze heads???

I like it myself. Might drop it a bit

  5. Leave it as is & Leave the skull. Great 3w.

What is it with everyone hating on the Skull????

That basic skull design has been used by rodders since the 1930s the wing appears to have been sawn off this one & it is the more intricate design with the separate jaw casting.

Ed Iskenderian's basic shop class piece.

hey its your car , build it and use it as you want , if you have to make everyone happy , you would have to be a movie producer, and spend lots of money and sometimes they dont make the public happy , put some gas in it , grab a girl and go for a ride , you got a nice ride there , BE HAPPY

  11. Put some fenders on it. 3 windows look better with full fenders.

Why come on here and ask a question that makes no difference to anyone but possibily you. And then only if your into patting yourself on the back or enjoy being beaten up. This is the HAMB.......................we eat our own:eek::( So, 'I'll turn this around..............what do you think of your deuce? You have the only opinion that counts. If you want a car built by committee go to the dealership.........most of them have a lot full of cookie cutters.

I'll say this, then I'll shut up.

I would applaud your efforts to retain the patina, if the entire car had the patina. It doesn't...it's mostly grey primer. I would primer the patina to match the grey primer... then drive it. I wouldn't paint it. my .02

Hate to just piggyback on Don here, but his thoughts are mine exactly......rust does not equal *patina*...rust is simply rust and it looks shitty and no self respecting hot rodder in the *traditional era* would have let his Deuce go to rust......run it with no fenders!

And, lose the skull, like Don said!

    Isn't cock fighting illegal?

Seriously post some pictures of your nice freaking car just to see what people say, LAME.

Nice car, all you need is a blower set up and that thing would be perfect.

I was thinking HOW MUCH better your coupe would look ... if it looked more like the 32Gnu coupe :) ( it has paint )

The coupe NEEDS paint to protect the body. The doors really need attention soon and LOSE the skull ..

I love it with the rear fenders and hood on it. The only thing I see that I would change is the one thing you say you don't want to change....the rust.

Do like Don said and put a good coat of epoxy on it. Great looking hot rod.

    Oh,and put the skull on a shelf somewhere;);

This is how the car sits now! I like it this way

Those are cast iron Kogel heads.

Thank's for the input everyone. I'm keeping the skull, and like i said, not painting it.

Jeez...enough with the "skull" already. It happens to be a period correct mascot from the Franklin Die Cast Co. (Chicago) , produced in the 20's & 30's. Franklin is considered to be the father of die casting in the U.S. & went on to form the Franklin Automobile Company. It was stock #129 in their original catalog, called "The Floating Spirit." ~ If you don't want it, I'll gladly take it off your hands...it's worth a pretty penny & it ultimately elegant. P.S. I love the car in any form.
