Getting ready to make some of these stickers, does anyone have a color picture of one, or know what the original colors are.

If not, how do yellow letters with black background strike you?

Here are the samples, two different sizes, sizes posted underneath each one. Please go by the sizes written underneath, as the pictures, although proportional, are not to size.

Please tell me why he shouldn't ask here? considering he got the idea from a photograph posted here that was taken 'Back in the day',and there might actually be someone here who remembers them and can advise him.

That photo was originally taken from the Los Angeles County Public Library online archive.

Plus, I would bet money that is Woody Harrelson's father driving that car.

  6. How about a scarlet colored capitol "A" for the wives and girfriends? Or Star of David Armbands? I am sure that would go over about as well.

It's a fun idea, but me thinks it's going to go over like a fart in a spacesuit.

lots of talk about whether people like the idea (I wouldn't put it on a daily driver but it sounds marketable), not many answers on his historical questions.

Very true... and I wish I had the answer to his question... That's what really gets under my skin about this place.... Too many guys waiting in line to talk shit or give an opinion rather than help a guy out...

Cool idea buy the way... JC62

  12. The original concept was from 1935

Municipal Judge Edward R. Brand affixes his new idea to the windshield of a traffic violator. Here's how the judge's idea worked: A breaker of traffic safety laws could avoid fines or jail sentences if he or she agreed to display a tag reading, "Traffic Violator" on the car for a variable period of time

    Another from 1947

A young couple seems almost pleased with the Traffic Violator sticker a cop has applied to their car. Receiving such stickers in lieu of paying small traffic fines was an L.A. practice dating to the 1930s.

  13. I was habitual violator as a kid in Iowa but never had to install a sticker. I did hafta go for a full year with no moving violations and it raised hell with my insurance. I'll take on of those stickers when ya get them printed.

I saw a picture that was a skull sticker on the windshield or was on the front license plate - a girl was the driver and was NOT happy.

What cop? All I see is a pair of sweater hounds being smothered. Release the hounds!

I think the colors you have are dead on - and I would put a 2x3 in my windshield.

  28. I'll buy a few to stick on my office surfboard.

"Child On Board" was good idea at one time. Your's will get old as well after we see them at every rod run on earth. Best thing is to keep your REAL traffic violations in the glove box.

Like every fad, make 'em and sell 'em so you can make your $$ while they're hot.
