    Yeah... I know...

And I've owned it longer than that.

But, it just goes to show, Info is still being discovered.

Amazing that as much Info and pics are available of the Morgensen Plymouth Spl/ later Morgensen Buick Spl/ later Old Yeller #1, its this hard to find Info and pics on the Morgensen -Bird Spl.

Here is a pic of the Morgensen Buick Spl. on one its darkest days.
( the sister car to mine )

    Metalshapes,

If you have some time for research, here are some period online publications to search for info on your car:

Motor Sports World was published from 6/15/1951 through 11/14/1952. It covers a lot of different motor sports, but is mostly concerned with automobile racing. I especially enjoyed the coverage of Ferrari's 1952 effort at Indy, which I hadn't seen much of in other contemporary publications.

MotoRacing was a southern California tabloid that was published from 10/21/1955 through 1/17/1964. Its emphasis was on southern California racing, but there is also pretty good coverage of Indy and international racing.

Motor Sports World is available at:

    MotoRacing is available at:

    Competition Press is available at:

West Coast Sports Car Journal is available at:

Good Luck, the fun is in the search.

  5. Haven't thought about that car in a long time. Glad to hear it might move up the list.

He may have told you but those photos came from this video

Whats cool about this video is that both the Morgensen and Bird Specials are in it.
