Kad 472 no start! Help please!

Just got a '29 roadster with a 472 Caddy motor; has started first try every time. Today I put an inline fuel filter, started her up, backed her outta the garage, idle is fine, got out and pulled off air cleaner and the motor cuts off (I think the occurrance was coincidental). Now the motor just cranks strong, but doesn't fire up. There's fuel spray in the carb when I work the throttle, so I don't think it's a carb/fuel issue. Just seems weird that it would be ignition related all of a sudden. Any advice or tips appreciated. Or anyone good to check it out in North San Diego County??? Shops or individuals. Thanks.

 

I think those engines have electronic ignition have you cheked that? the ignition module if it has one

 

I think your warranty just ran out...

Check for spark next. Don't panic.

 

Has points and those are new, but will check tomorrow.

 

is the condenser MADE IN CHINA ? they don't work to long. Dave
