big one here is to find someone that really wants to see it look good when cut, not someone looking for a paycheck at the end. i would have no problems chopping this for you. and im the one that did all the metal work on cruiser's fleetline. that thing does look good. hit me up if you want some suggestions.

I agree the one that would do the work would need to know what the
F--ck to be able to do the chop right !
I seen a few that don't look that grate. like any chop there is a right amount to chop and if you pass it well I.M.O. it will look like crap!
I'll take a look at your stuff and keep you in mind if, if i decide to go off the deep end and go for it .
    thanks!

They certainly do. But that one looks great as it is, too. That one's pretty sweet as it is. Do you want to be without it for the time it woulkd take to do the chop? And are you positive you can get the chop right? It's not impossible, but it's not as easy as chopping a sedan

It's pretty simple, if you have to ask the answer is NO.

I would Love nothing more than taking a Sawzall to your car BUT that body is one that doesn't need a chop. One more Vote for keeping it as is. Great looking car with a "factory" chop.

ok, so these things are one of the hardest to photoshop. i had to snag a pic of someone elses to do. now i think taking a lot out of these looks like crap. heres a stock one then a photoshopped one. now, im not good with computer programs, im good with metal. so be nice...

now, i didnt take a bunch out but leaned the back more to get rid of that hard curve spot. i think it should flow front to back. and when it comes to doing the decklids, dont just section it. make it ressemble the late 40's buick lids. so that way the decklid looks good even when opened.

taking a car like this and chopping it is good and bad. yes you are taking a finished car and cutting into it, but you've already taken care of all the rust. now what happens when you go out and get a rusted car to chop? you might end up with a bad ass chop, but now you have to go back and fix all the rust. just my 2 cents....

  23. Im in the same boat on my 47 Chevy and although I want a nice chop, I've decided to leave it as its just too nice to cut.

    Your ride though....

I think fleetlines look great both chopped and unchopped, and as it has already been said they are a tuff shape to chop, so whoever does it needs to know his sawzall pretty good ;)
Anyways, it all depends on what you want i guess, ive seen the truk in your galleries and that is goin to be a super bad ass ride, so if they were my cars i'd keep this a bomb. Althou ive seen a few chopped bombs and they usually look great. Heres a few kool ones from Japan, both chopped and not.

This one has a pretty radical paint job w/ mild mods. I dig it, but i understand its not everybodys taste.

I wish i could find some side shots of this. It has some rather cool tricks.

Same can be said of this car. Its the same front and back, only a few years apart as i couldnt find a shot of the rear in the final painted version but i thought it wes worth showin ya the rear treatment.
