And here's the first draft of this years card...the final changed just a slight bit. For those of you who are friends/clients, you'll be getting one in the mail soon. ;)

Some of these older cards are available on my site for anyone looking for unique cards to mail out.

  9. Couldn't have said it better myself dusty one!
John, Your work is tops and, as stated, is definitely art. It takes a creative eye to compose the perfect balance, to drop in just the
right color, to set the perfect aperture, to dial in just the right exposure, toe create just
the right light, to add texture that only exists in the elements within the frame, to add
mood and emotion, sometimes using the simplest of details and to take a huge environment full of objects yet create a space so simple that the viewers eye is taken
    directly to the focal point.
Each piece you posted this week represents those qualities on a very high level and still
keep to the artist's creed of "less is more."
Don't let the cynics, critics and the uninitiated get at'cha, use it as food to fuel you to the
    next level!

    Ken, nice work, buddy!

  13. Question for the sign painters in the group. I'm planning on painting a portrait in the inside of my shop urinal. Would one shot (no pun intended) be the best product to use ? or is there something that will adhere to ceramic better ?

Here is some art for a t-shirt for a dragstrip I work at...
very much still a work in progress...
I'm having a local shop do the art work, as I am no artist...

Here is a photo of the car, and 2 different (dark and light) t-shirts...

Please critique them, I'm not married to them yet...
something isn't just right in my eye, but I can't put a finger on it...

brutality is ok...as long as it is honest...

I think they would be killer... without that blood stained gangster look! Keep it simple.

  27. Really depends on whether you're gonna get serious or just piss around with your mural!
Honestly, the One-Shot probably has as good a chance as anything for this job, the only thing you might find is that the byproducts could be a tad bit corrosive! Good luck, post o the FAS when you've got 'er done!

kinda late but heres some of my stuff/stuff I am working on. I'm just coming into my 1970s isma show car paint phase, and it actually has helped me lol. I got extra credit in art class believe it or not for some of these renders! Hope you all enjoy my work!

[IMG] first is this 1973 Motion Mako Shark, my first panel paint job render attempt.

[IMG] second is this 1963 chevy II fastback which i wanted to have a street machine nats feel to it

[IMG] then there's this boss 429 cougar

[IMG] and this 1955 t-bird which is a work in progress

[IMG] this 1968 hemi dodge dart (not sure how im going to paint it)

[IMG] Heres a render I did for my college portfolio

[IMG] a concept car I did (used it in the north american international auto show poster contest)

    [IMG] ramchargers dart

[IMG] 55 chevy gasser with 427 sohc ford engine

[IMG] 1966 long nose Mustang a/fx (school project)

[IMG] a teaser of another 1966 long nose Mustang a/fx car. This one I made for the Michigan Birth Certificate Contest (my high school entered, so I made this since its Michigan after all)

[IMG] finally heres a mini project im working on thats about 50% done, but I thought I would show my progress on it so far! I have to redo a lot of the engine already though.

My 10 year old son Wade loves hotrods and electronics so for my birthday he made me this of 'his' 46! I'm very proud and impressed! If you can't see the headlihgts and the lamp post lightup, the turn signal blinks and it makes revving noise!
