Fabricators opinions?

    This exhaust is on an aireoplane but I thought it was interesting. the beads welded on are probably for strenght ,to prevent cracking ect. Would this work ? Better than a external brace would ? It sure looks pretty ,these aircraft folks have a lot of good ideas. Thanks for looking.

    Yeah, that is cool.

    I go to the Pima Air Museum at least once a year.

    To look at details like that, and to just soak up the vibe of these beautiful old machines.

    l like it, looks like it will reduce the crack running along the side of the seam.

    That should work. I worked on planes in the Navy and noticed welds like that. If its good enough for the planes, good enough for cars. Plus you could probably get creative with the design.

    My guess they are attaching directional vanes for flow purposes.
