Anyone know the story on this pic? I don't know where I found it- but I thought it was interesting... look at all the mods. Obviously its 59 sheet metal so I'm assuming its a concept for a 1960 Full Size Ranch? If so damnit they should have built these!!!!
red x huh? yeah i dunno what happend to the pic for you guys but I still see it... I uploaded another- check it
Not sure what a "revolving floor" would be, but overall i'm glad they didn't build that - it is proportionally UGLY
ha- Are you smoking crack? Its almost no different than a 59 ranch and they're one of the most proportionate Rancheros made- nearly a foot longer than 57's and 58's. The revolving floor is a turn table- like a ford showroom type of deal- the roof line should have been incorporated from the beginning- I think its interesting- I wish they made both a full size and a small one in 60- Some people hate hybrids- you aint got a car... and you aint got a truck... but I LOVE them- Tuck
Not on Crack today, but to me the roof line is way too heavy, the beltline molding is looks negative, and the fins are ridiculous - combines they make the rear as over done as J-Lo's Big Ass. The 59 was the ugliest of the early Ranchero's as well. The 57 was far better! And I have owned 5 Rancheros and an El Camino
Clearly, it's a design mock up with two different side designs. I have seen many done this way to save clay and wood. Why design a whole car when all you see of it is one side at a time??
Well Ford blew the looks on their cars after the 57 and didn't really make anything descent again until 64 so whats the use in worrying about some other ugly ass concept ranchero. The dang thing looks like a mixture between 58-59-and 60 car with a little truck added in.
Bull Shit! 61 Starliner and Sunliner are two Gorgeous cars. So are the third Gen T birds (61-63) T Bird's, the early Falcons were good looking "compacts" and they are all better looking than any 2001 Monte Carlo
Don't get upset there hotrodden Chevrolet blew it with the looks of there 58,59,60 cars too but now even the Fords and Chevys are popular now but they weren't for years.
Not Upset - just don't agree with your broad statement of ~ "Well Ford blew the looks on their cars after the 57 and didn't really make anything descent again until 64" so I posted some examples of some good looking Fords from that era.
