Notice that very few of those cars had been wrecked-they were in the junkyard because they were worn out; not worth the cost of repairs.

I was surfing this thread and Shorpys just looking at pics and this one stuck out so I thought I would share it. Seems somebody had a pet fox. Notice the coffee can so he can have a drink.

Not to be a dick but this pic don't fit. Try the cool pictures thread. Radials aren't vintage :(

OK, thanks for the rehashed history lesson about radial tires. Maybe what he meant was the modern sorn out tires off your old pickup don't fit the theme of this thread.
Plastics have been around since the 30s but a car with a plastic bumper isn't what this site is about.

Thats literally my back yard. live in Calgary, Alberta about 1 1/2 hours away. So we go there many times during the year. Many changes over the years but the place still retains its vintage feeling

Hey Twin, where did you find this photo?
Is it a family shot? This is one I have not seen before.
It's a 1957 Thunderbird JR made by the Powercar company of Mystic CT. and used by dealerships for promotions. I love vintage photos when I can find them and this is a new one to me thanks.
PS I own the factory molds that made this car and a few more.
