Your car was the one that popped into my head when I read this threads title.

My '35 phaeton is 1 of 647 'Holden' bodies, 'Fisher' made 217 phaetons in '35.

My father who never posts but is always on here reading owns a 53 Hudson Hornet convert, his 2nd one, which is one of about a dozen and there are no published production numbers. Some say 51 and I've heard 151 so who knows. He also has a short wheelbase 41 Hudson pickup which I think there are around 6 accounted for.

I had a 1971 GTO convertible, one of 661 total built and one of 79 with a 400 and a 4-speed. Couldn't afford the resto so I sold it to a chiropractor from Marietta, GA back in the late 90s. I hope he gave it the resto it deserved!

  5. I have this '32 Rockne Model 75 in pieces, only about 40 of those, and about 200 total for the brand, still known to exist anywhere. Have a lead on a rough Lark Daytona that might make a good donor for the drivetrain and that cut down Pierce Arrow on the cover of R&C for inspiration, but that's about it right now.

Probably one that has shiny paint, no patina, no body rot, and can pass a smog inspection.

I have a 1968 mercury cougar 428 CJ ram air GT. Marti report says outta 127 428CJ '68 Cougars, 79 were Automatics, of those, 14 were Cardinal red, of those, 2 had white interior, of those, 1 was a GT (big sway bar, disc brakes, posi, quick ratio box). At the moment she's unrestored, but patiently waiting her turn

It wasn't that rare originally but there aren't too many '38 Ford Standard Coupes around nowadays.

    Regards

1st person I thought of was Bluto, since he's had some pretty rare stuff.
But there is probably plenty of rare ones belonging to lurkers who never post.................

  14. I am sure Jim is at the top of the list and agree with the lurker comment. Amazing who lurks or may lurk on these boards;)

I know my Simca/Fiat Forgonette is not the rarest on the HAMB,but here in the states I only know of one other one. I know Mr. Buto has a couple and he says there are more in Europe. It is finding them that is hard.

  21. Not the rarest, but certainly don't see any others at a car show, no matter how big over here in US. Either of my Utes were only a few hundred produced and who knows how many surviving.

1937 Chevy, basically all orig for now:

Or my 37 Ford, which is all disassembled to do body repairs for old poor work and change the color, my daily driver when assembled, running and not snowing:

I love the slopers, I think that one of those would be a great to accompany my utes.

    What's a dick fer?

  26. I think it is a pretty rare piece. I thought it was a '50s custom until you sent me the info on it.

I was thinking that someone on here owned a '64 2x4 409 4 spd Bisquet. I think they are farely rare as cars you could buy go.

Depends on how big it is. Anything over 9" is only good for hitting people over the head with.

I cant believe you fell for that!!!

I would say the majority of the HAMB is made up of 1 of only 1 cars ever built a certin way, the whole Idea of customizing a car is to make it "yours" and different than the factory and or everyone else's.
