    broke an axle in my coupe thinkin of takin 10 bolt out puttin in a for 9' that should hold up......

    Which ten bolt are you using? If it is a 7.5 " ring gear I can see why you broke it. Those are known to be weak. An 8.5" unit should stand up, but you don't say what kind of power you are putting down. A 9" Ford is also an excellent choice.

    Well, I'm no expert but a 9 foot rear will be WAY too big. But do your thing and thanks for sharing.
