53/54 chev tell us the new repo you need

converts rust much more in the trunk and area over the rear axle (riser over the axle) then reg sedans, we may make the riser section soon. inner rear wheel tubs are being considered.

if you have photos of the exact area you are speaking of it will help us a lot to understand.

door bottom update: tooling is done and parts have started the production process hopefully in nov,

 

Darn, I musta died and went ta heaven............those parts have been rotted out since like 64..........never was able to find any good ones in the junkers............

are you talking about a smoothie stock flat firewall???? and why would someone want it???

 

so i heard you guys just started making the front body braces im in need of both of these braces on both sides. is it the upper one or lower one in the pic?

id suggest continuing on with the making of all the rest of the body braces and the sill mine are nasty

the lower is a frame mount or outrigger the upper is a floor brace

 

ok sweet any outriggers in the works ? how much are the floor braces going for? and any idea how long till the others get repro ?

 

no outriggers, other floor braces in the tool shop, call bob 216-541-4585 for delivery info

 

dont do it they suck the center bar has the wrong radius and you will have gaps where the teeth meet. dont buy any repro they are all made by the same CHINESE company.

9-9-11 a update on our progress,

the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rows of floor braces are in the press room waiting to be made probally 4-8 weeks before we can ship, bob our sales guy will take names for the first batch of braces. The 1st row is done and can be shipped right away.

We have started the tooling for the lower front fender section behind the front tire and the inner brace to go with it, this will be ready sometime after dec 1, 2011

C-pillar curves.. just cause all the belair trim held in all that moisture and rotted them out

Ditto on the firewall body mounts, ...and how about a [sedan] package shelf. in the process of installing a set of front floorpans ['53] from Chevys of the 40s that I think are yours [they said they were the better of the 2 brands they carry] and I'm definitely impressed with the quality!

 

why the package shelf?? i need to understand better, please explain

 

Well, mines pretty cheesey, and while looking for other bits in the best salvage yard in these parts, most of the others I see seem to be pretty much as bad as or worse than what I've got. Probably contributes to the stability of the cabin of the vehicle [w/ the seat back braces being attached to it], especially if you get involved in mods like raising the rear wheel wells, which entails messing with some of the original bracing. Just a thought...

 

Any chance on producing the firewall body mounts?
