Ok here we go; this is my first build of this kind so bear with me. I bought the car July 4th weekend of 2011. I plan on making my own frame so I am in the process of collecting parts so I can get everything I need to start constructing the frame

looks like a great start to me! i've got a 30 coupe myself and replaced the frame also. but now i've had a change of mind and wished i'd kept it and worked with it. same with the firewall. i put a bitchin firewall in and now i've grown a new appreciation for the look of the original one! oh well, i thought i would sell off the extra parts and recoupe some money, and while i did do that, i wish i would have slowed down a little. think about every step and look at lots of pics! have fun with that thing!

I hear ya on that, I'm pretty committed to the direction I'm heading in now. I'm sure some will hate it but oh well they not going to be driving it :D

Knocked out some right and left handed threaded inserts/bungs for the 4 link I decided to just make them and save cost and time of modifying purchased ones

id throw those rear tires in the trash can, unless your going for a totally rad gay long hair 80's look.

Ya I'm no purist, when people ask I say I'm going for a late 60s "influenced". I have to say "influenced" because some guys will stroke out over the use of newer parts and start picking it apart.. "If this car WAS perion correct you'd have flat head screws here and not philips.....blah blah"

I think you have a great start there. I have to ask though, why the hoosiers?

They are actually smaller than they look, can't run the drag slicks if I'm going to be driving it as much as I plan on driving it. If I dont like it once its together, its an easy change

I guess everyone hates em lol..I've had a lot of doubters on past builds and they have turned out good... and if "I" dont like it when its done, its an ez fix
