  3. You have a long row to hoe to kid . Yea , some bodymen should not bother if this is the kind of shit they are going to do . But hey a lot of these guys have been doing this kind of stuff for years . Its all about the benjamins man . They want what you have in your pockets and they will make your car look good again for cheap on their end but not cheap on your end . Cut it all out as you are and weld in new metal and you will have a Kool Kustom when your done . Even with your issues your still way ahead of me by the looks of the rest of the body !!! Andy..

  7. I bought a rust free 47 super sedanette in 1975 for 50 bucks then looking for some parts I bought a rust free 48 Roadmaster Sedanette in 1976. I figure I spent close to 50 G's in storage and moving of those two cars for over 35 years. Just gave both to my son who plans to build the roadmaster with a turbo diesel, not my first choice (I put a 401 nailhead in it 30+ years ago and never got it on the road) but I respect his right to be different

I played with the idea of a 4bt Cummins for the gas mileage but I love the sound of gas motors always hated the way a diesel sounds.

    Hey Kid,

That car is cool the just way it is!! Just lower it a bit, and wide whites, maybe fix up the body and shoot some black on it and your done! Good luck with it and keep posting your progress. How about some interioir picts.

Read an article on a 72 chevelle with a twin turbo duramax, 1200 horse 1800 torque got 30 mpg no way it happened at the same time but with diesels stuff like this is possible.

I put fresh 30 weight in it along with 2 bottles of zinc additive just for good measure. Takes 9 1/2 quarts to fill it when you drain the pan and filter 8 1/2 without filter so my total came out to just under $100 for an oil change. Here are the interior pics.

Those arm rests on the back seat make it look more like a couch. It will be way cool when you are finished.
    Keep it up....

Nice old Buick! Keep the straight 8 and drive the hell out of it! Interior could be spruced up cheap with some old seat covers. If you're interested in something old & plaid PM me.

Great project car. Not too many around but they sure do attract a lot of attention. In the older automobile past Buick was a premier car builder.

Sadly I've sold this finally got to pissed off about not being able to get a title for it. Went through the legal process with as much info as i could and got told that wasnt good enough. So life goes on gonna look for something with a clear title!
