55hydramatic that was a cool video.Having driven old trucks with no horsepower with heavy loads on narrow mountain roads,i can relate to this video. When i was watching it my heart rate went up,my right foot was cramping up,and i got tired from concentrating from when to shift.

Wheels and interior are blue base with "Old School" brand shifty flake and two fat pinches of rainbow flake and 5 coats of clear. It's not (Done) but on the road.

Though I've never seen it on a sedan like that, it is a real thing, I have seen a 1936 Chevrolet in an advert that showed it in use on a coupe, my buddy has a 36 5 window and he wants one for his pretty badly. they were an after market accessory.

  11. I sectioned an inch and 3/8's out of the bottom of the doors to nothing at the top. I have not put a build thread together, because I am currently too busy to show the progress, but when I get rolling steady on it again, I will put one up.

  18. I found this 1927 International S-24 Speed Truck in 1987 south of Nanaimo, B.C.. It had a 4 cyl. Lycoming engine with a 3 speed transmission and a 2 speed rear axle. My dad bought it for $1400. It originally came from a potato farm in Lumby, B.C. where it was stored in a root cellar before WWII. My dad sold it to a friend of his in the late 1990's, it is now somewhere near Vernon, B.C.. I believe the last name of the original owner was Eastham.

Truck was originally red then yellow. Air Force truck, airport truck, farmers truck and now mine. 292 under the hood. Had a beacon on top that PO sold, had a generator running off PTO shaft. PO has generator, hopefully I can get that and hook it back up. Adjusted the valves and trying to catch up on many years of no maintenance.

This thing is gorgeous. Really, just killer. I was wondering though, is that ride height or bagged?

Cool cat. I love this picture.

I GOTS A-100! Mine is a 64 van with a 69 GMC frame and 12 bolt, 3:56, 413/727. It gets the same lousy gas mileage that it did with the 170 slant and 3 sp, 4:11, but it is a LOT more 'fun'!
Now it will pull the front wheels 2' from a 20 mph 'roll'. (Same 'press' stamped the body parts from 61-71). Are we splitting hairs?
In Md, if it ain't got back seats, it's a truck.

Thanks, that was in 08 shortly after I found her, she was tossed from a moving car as far as we could figure due to her broken collar bone and road rash, she's in great shape now and is a fantastic cat! If the weather had been good the last 2 years or I had a shop the TT would have been done by now... maybe next year.

You're right, my cat is a lot newer then 64, I'll try to post older cats from now on!;)

I wont get on a soap box about it, but what's the difference between a 64 and a 65 of practically any car or truck?

Walter McDonald did that same job on a 48 Chevy sedan. He called it 'The truck'. It worked like a truck for 20 years, but untill he pulled the decklid off, it was a car.

Thought I'd posterd mine on this thread already, but I guess not.

Here she is; 55.2 big window, warmed over 283, 350TH and a 10 bolt. Bought from a guy that had it 10 months. He bought it from the original buyer from 1955. Old man stopped driving it in 1991 and it hadn't been licensed from '91 to 2010.

"Before" shots and "As of Now" shots.

    As Purchased-Ugh!

In-Process, its all green now. The old Torq Thrusts made a BIG difference.

    Engine as Purchased, Double Ugh!

Engine now. Engine compartment has been cleaned up & painted since
    [IMG]

I've made a lot of other improvements too.

On one, the title says 1964, on the other the title says 1965.

Seriously, though, I think his comment was aimed more towards the guy posting a pic of his rat roddy '68 a couple pages back.
