so i was just wondering if anyone else out there finds that they spend to much on HAMB and not enough time working on their cars or other important things we should be doing?
Well you got me, I spend WAY too much time here when I'm working 12 hour shifts. Oh. Working on cars you meant.....never mind
Actually ham makes me gassy. I have a pretty high post count, but how much time I spend on the HAMB depends on how crappy I feel that day. Too much time, probably. I should just take drugs and head for the garage (or driveway), feeling crappy is just an excuse.
According to my wife and kids I spend way too much time on here! Hi my name is Woodbox and I am a HAMBaholic!..........There now that wasn't so hard, was it? What are the other 11 steps?
Right now with my injury cant work on the cars so this and the velocity is all i got.. viva la hamb lol.
For me being over 7,000 miles from anything that remotely gets the motor oil pumping in my veins this is about all I got to keep my automotive "fix"... That would also be why I don't reply to as many threads as I look at because I simply don't want to be hipacritical and tell someone who is actually bending wrenches that they are twisting them the wrong way...
The thing is I can put my laptop down on the floor of the garage with me. (But I never have) so, another guilty as charged person!
yeah me too...i can quit anytime i want to,honest ,not a problem........... actually been home a few weeks recovering from knee surgery, cant kneel down, hate daytime TV, pretty much bored to tears..thank god for the HAMB,its kinda like gettin a new car magazine everyday,,those twenty page build threads really help pass the time and are really informative,,, better than ANY build articles in magazines,,,i just tell my wife its part of my therapy
Yeah I am a wee bit. Now that I worked out how to get on here off my phone I'm on the hamb all the time. I'm currently laying in bed with my phone writing this!
I'm getting worse. At least I justify my time here as a research tool FOR working on my Cars. Yeah, That's the ticket.
I love HAM...especially the spiral cut stuff w/ the brown sugar...Oh, that HAMB...yup, to much time. TV sucks anyhow and it's cold in my garage...WAAAH
What are these "other important things" you speak of? Are you saying that there is MORE to life than the HAMB and old cars?
Mabey we should start a group. I just bought an I Phone so I could have the H.A.M.B. with me all the time. Is that so wrong?????
When I sold everything to escape the flood in June I wasn't sure how I was going to cope, My only motorized vehicle now is a dually diesel that pulls my home around. I still check on the Hamb almost everyday .I will say it is hard not being able to go to the shop and escape for awhile. We are seeing so much more than I thought I ever would, lots of old cars behind the closed gas stations, cool things at the flea markets. There is life after the HAMB ,enjoy your time with it as much as possible. Seeya down the road.
according to my wife I'm on here way to much, but if I wasn't on here I'd be in the garage...at least I'm sitting in the same room..I can't tell you how many times I've had to look over in the middle of her on some kind of rant only to realize she has been talking for several minutes and I have no idea what I have just agreed to!
