I kinda tried one with a 6cyl jag motor - now the jag was a very tall motor - and it just didn't flow. Between the length and hieght it was fugly. A hemi works good tho.

There was one out of the high desert in CA with a 240 Ford six. It was blue, if I recall correctly, and driven extensively for quite some time.

There was a '23 glass bucket that went to goodguise for years, Ford Falcon 170 power. It pulled a little trailer, believe it belonged to a full-figured gal. She was very knowledgable about the car, and had been deep into the engine. (unusual at the time, I haven't been a "goo-guy" for years)

Interesting.... second photo looks proportionate, no doubt at all. But the 3/4 photo shot in the first photo doesn't look proportionate, at least too me. The 6 banger looks tooooo long.

Funny how 2 seperate photos can look so diferent?

On planet t-bucket six cylinder engines are rare to see. I definately recommend that you keep and resurrect yours! Here's a few pics of my bucket. Engine is a '57 Chevy 235 matched to a '57 Powerglide transmission.

    Not really a T body but she has a 250 CI 6 out of a 68 Camaro.
People seem for some reason want to call it a "T Bucket" and it is actually a Dodge body.. Who Cares.. It's FUN!

Here's one I saw at the Jalopy Showdown.
Once I saw one with a Plymouth slant six! It looked cool from one side....lots of pipes.

Dakota. Nice proportions and stance on that side view. Not trying to highjack but could you provide the height of your front and rear tires.

    Thanks

I don't have a photo but, Pat Swanson's repop of the Spaulding Bros. track T with the Wayne Chevy is an out standing version.

I like the idea of a six in a bucket.
Plenty of power for the weight and different to look at.
A little longer in the engine compartment is no odds as the engine SHOULD be a focal point anyway!

    Nice cars guys....

There has been a little bob tail Falcon six powered steel T bucket running around the Phoenix area for about five years or so. I don't have a picture, but it's damn cute!

235 chevy, 1922 Dodge, handmade frame, suicide front end, wheel base was (too long} 117" I never did finish this car and parted most of it out. The truth is, it was too long and too ratty. Oops.

My T has a custom Frame that we built out of 2x4 Square Tube, with a big kick in the rear, pinched at the firewall.

The Tires are 5.00 16 Excelciors in the front and 7.50 16 Firestones in the rear.

thanks dakota... one of my main concerns was with frame flex, using 2x3 rhs. due to the length and weight of these 6 packs....

Man there is some real cool stuff showing up here on this thread .. thanks everyone !! sure would like to find old more about these cars ...

Mine was originally a stroker Flatty Merc/5spd combo. Broke it. Got a freebie AMC 232 3spd auto. Clifford intake, 2bbl Demon, stainless header and a big, nasty Comp cam. Make huge torque from idle to redline. Way too much fun!
