What kind of frame is this????

    Can anyone id this frame for me. I 'm thinkin 30's era non ford? but what? Looks like a cool frame for a bucket or a chopped sedan, nice n swoopy. Thanks.

    Here's a pic, there are slight differences, so I'd say it's not a '33 but somewhere around there.

    I concur that the frame is likely an early 30s Chevy.

    It still has the left front engine splash pan attached to the frame rail. Most folks don't even know that most cars and pickups prior 1950 had splash pans between the engine and frame on both sides. Most were discarded the first time a mechanic worked on the car/truck along with the exhaust brace to the bellhousing and other bracketry that was a pain to replace after service work.

    That looks quite similar to the '30 Chev frame under my Essex.

  24. I agree....not Chevy, but still GM, late 20's early '30's.........
