Does anyone sell a dropped steering arm for a 1949 Ford F1 with disc brakes. I have lowered the front end 4 inches so the stock one won't work. Can you heat and bend these things? Am runing a flathead and am having all kinds of trouble with the steering and making everying fit -IE tie rod won't go under the pan etc. HELP!!

  2. You can heat em' cherry red bend it to what ever shape you need but make sure you let it cool on it's own, don't quench it in water!

Speedway sells dropped tie-rod ends for about $65 or so. I bought them for my 52 F-1 to help clear the pan. Works great! About a 2" drop.
