That is a beefy spring! Looks great man. I've made a very similar engine mount for my buddies 327 if you care to see it. Working on one for my nail head at the moment ;)

Looks great man! Is it going to get a panhard bar as well?

  4. Had to get my weekly dose of humility - your work is something to aspire to. Thanks for sharing.

I was wondering if this x-member can be for sale in the future? It's nearly impossible to find an original x-member from a mid to 40's Ford, etc. I found one on Ebay, but it was too expensive to ship to me here in Florida. This is the look that many are looking for, ESPECIALLY ME...

sweet baby blue eyed jesus! thats unbelievable,,,,someone was once asked whats a quality car build look like ...the guy replied he couldn't really explain it but he would know it when he saw it.....well i think if he saw those pics he would know it!!! excellent craftsmanship..

  11. Choking down my breakfast right now. As soon as I get in the shop I have pictures to upload and stuff. I just finished bolting the frame together last night out of the frame fixture. Going to start the car assembly on Monday.

This is the prototype, but yes we will be offering this style X as a kit. I need to build a second set and then pull some fixtures from those so I can start production. I'm thinking in the $1500 range for the whole set up.

  12. WOW! Steve I wish I had half your skills with metal...Outstanding workmanship with loads of brain power to back it up. Going to be one KILLER HOT ROD for sure.
    Keep it going....

Apparently I have been asleep, I just found this thread. I was glad I did, then I started reading it and wish I hadn't, and now I just feel dirty and confused. Nice work Steve! Let's see more. I apparently have also missed all of the awesome build threads from the nay sayers.....

  17. For god's sake man... If you just wanted to burn it to the ground, sell it to someone already! :D

  18. I really love the stunning fabrication work and thought/effort you put into your designs. The combination of functional and aesthetic design you employ is some of the nicest I've seen in awhile . . . using the same tools and techniques that have been around for years. You inspire me to get back to my 34 - it has been on hold for the last year.

  26. You should see the car now all together and the exhaust is going to be the icing on the cake.

I would pound both my nuts with a large hammer for that car. Its simply going to be one of the most bad ass 3 windows ever built.

Working on them right now. Adding a section to the front and a single 90º bend up into the manifold. I used the other section of taper to neck down from the 2.5" manifold to the 2" bend and extension. Pics in a few.
