that's some cool stuff right there!! the one with the containers getting molten metal poured in them is funny, the expression on the face of the bucket getting his hot load and his toes are curling up... while the ones before him on line look like they are bored or sleeping. classic.
heh i could see a compilation of his work with a pinkfloyd sound track.. that would be a instant classic video. chris.
Don't you get it, least to me that is - It is the all of man and his mechanical creation of life - Performing the task of doing - Boris was a life giver to all of us gear heads Thanks Ryan
No doubt the man was talented, but I'm glad I'm not the only one to be sorta creeped out by his stuff. Normal Norman
Very interesting stuff. Very. He's like the M.C. Escher of the mechanical art world. The would would be a dull place without those who's minds are just a tad bit crazy with visions like these. I really enjoy these. Makes me want to fire up a joi......well, never mind
This guy was amazing. I'd never even heard of him before today. Combines my favorite style art with my favorite hobby; Surrealism and all-things-mechanical. Thanks for sharing Ryan. Very cool!
I keep learning stuff, I liked the Brown and Sharpe lathe as we use one in our daily operation. Glad you posted it.
I can't believe I have never seen this before! I love this era of illustration, and these are some of the best, and certainly most interesting, I've seen. Thanks for sharing. These drawings are crazy inspiring!
i'll take $20.00 worth of what that dude was smoking, cause it must have been some good shit. alot of stuff going on in this guys noggin', and i'm no art critic, but i know what i like, and i like these.
I believe my friend Don Bonham must have been influenced by Boris as well. See his stuff here www.donbonham.com
That is some sweet looking creative art! Thanks for posting!! I'm sure I'll come back to look at these images again.
Go to Google images and have your mind blown. I got a favorite new artist. I like the anti-nazi stuff. This guys a trip. The first image reminds me of the "Injected" weirdo figure .
Always love the folks who's minds are not in lock step with what everyone else is doing.....and he definitely had his own aesthetic...thanks for the post..... love to look at stuff i never have been into too much....love to have my experience broadened...had a similar experience the other day with Shawn Kerri's work, thanks to the Weez!
Wow, all this time I thought Dutch was doing original work; turns out Dutch was not merely influenced by this guy but was actually knocking him off directly.
SWEET! Thanks so much for posting. That Lycoming drawing is going on my desktop and in my toolbox. I work on those engines every day. The rest are way cool too!
