I was going to chop my wifes 4 door merc. But after much thought I decided it would be less work to just covert it over to a 2 door and then chop. Good luck!

thanks..i feel the same, i dont like those "peaks" in the rear window frame when they chop a 4door like a 2door ,they are not the same car or chop,,,but ost vids and info are on 2doorchops but hopefully this post will help the next 4door chopper on how to not do that and keep all of his back door frame....if he wants...and still have great lines and a beautiful chop...

ps..has anyone ever flipped upside down the stock rear 51 back glass...i tested it out and on a 4.5-5.5 chop it looked ok ..weired but not ugly..

i think flipping the 51 is a big no no. looks fugly to me..my buddy did one, and another pic of one at a show. the crown is just too different to look correct at the trunkline.

thanks "slddnmatt" the black one is uuummm ok,,, but the red one is,,,,,,,,,,well ill never do one lol....

i have a shebox, i can get the back glass out of, but the one i saw with that treatment didnt hit me perfect either,,,and thats what holding me up...

does anyone have a 50 or back,,backglass that they dont want a million for? or will the shoebox glass be fine(ive only seen one done that way) can they look right?

to me the pink car.. the back door 1/4" window would look much better if it was slanted like the pillar. or maybe remove it all together.. and have a one piece window.. just a opinion.
