Projects Quick '34 update. Engine is done.

    Here is a quickie update on the '34. The kid helped me bang together the shortblock last weekend.

    The paint is still a bit tacky. Note the kids cool look...

    Ready to drop in. This is the same basic combination that went 12.40s in my Model A, so the '34 should be about the same. I call this little Pontiac a 389, but she actually displaces 462 inches and should make close to 500 horse at the flywheel.

    Here is the '34 almost ready to get blown apart for body, paint, final assembly.

  6. Really cool... I would almost be tempted to run it as is with the kid makin' that face to everyone at the stop light.

    Too bad American Graffiti stopped shooting 20 years ago because the kid coulda had a career in film.

    Love the project...

    Wow, brings back memories of my first hot rod when I was 15. Car looks great but ya better make sure you get the first ride 'cause the kid is gonna want that thing!
