Here's a picture of a cluster I built for a '38 Chevy coupe. I used an original housing, made a new faceplate and adapted Classic Instruments guages. Used LEDs for turn signal and Hi beam indicators.

Style dash I enjoy looking at. Need to put one that looks like this in my 32 truck.

This is the dash on The Raven . While we were restoring the car we had the advantage of Arthur Bentas (the builder) being there to watch over us. The dash panel is made of metal and with a satin finish but after sitting for 46 years it was looking shabby. It would have been a MAJOR job to disassemble the dash to get it out to refinish so my friend Frank painstakingly refinished it in-dash. He did a great job.

Arthur was about 85 at the time and he dutifully watched every move Frank was taken. He was real happy when it was done which was a good thing.

I should also note that Arthur totally refused to wear a paint mask. I tried to kick him out of the shop but he would not go. Fortunately I had the exhaust fans going full tilt and there was very little paint sprayed on the dash so the atomization was minimal.

We just put a 35/36 dash in my Dad's 34' delivery(never cared for the 34' dash). Were just throwing it together, but Your dash is making me jealous. Good vision with the choice of gauges...

Love my new dash but half of my beautiful SW gauges have stopped working. I've replaced both the speedo and tach once and both of them just quit again after 6 mos. I'm done with the new SW gauges. Pretty disgusted as they were not cheap. However, they sure look good!

I think its a rare 32 Studebaker truck or COE cluster. I changed the air pressure gauge to a 10 psi fuel pressure gauge. The letters read sideways.

when you paint your dash, paint the back side white. it helps you see when you have to work on it.

Exact duplicate of a 28 model a Ford dash, including the dash rail "nose". made with tiger stripe & book matched quilted walnut finish with 12 coats marine varnish.
