hood ornament ???

hello
can somebody pleace help me identify this hood ornament
on the inside is gmc
I have been all over the internet and could not find it

 

might say GMC on the inside but it sure looks like the early OPEL Zeppelin ornament.

 

It looks like a 37 GMC to me but it's hard to make out the details.

 

I was also thinking opel
but not sure
