Look out Tejas, here I come!

I have a new assignment in Texas and I'll be working on the Delayed Coking and Vacuum Distillation Unit for Conoco Phillips. I actually also received another offer today as well to go to Mountainview Power in Redlands, CA but it was temporary (3 mos.), thanks but no thanks. It isn't firmed up just yet but I will be there mid-June. I can't wait! :D:D:D:D:D:D:

Are there any Amarillo/Panhandle HAMBers here?

Beinvenidos a Tejas mi Amigo! ( Welcome to Texas my friend)
Please don't judge all of Texas by the Panhandle! Will Rogers said West Texas is where you could look the farthest and see the least! The good thing is there are loooong stretches of open road to tune your rod at high speeds, Mule deer, antelope and Prairie dog hunting is good and Albuqueque is not to far.
Oh yeah it gets real hot in the summer and real cold in the winter out there in the plains!

We are honored to have you come to our humble State...Remember the Alamo, and Gloliad!

  4. Hey You live around the Lake Wallula area..., the Sunny side of WA state..., Right...???

Well it won't be too radical of a transformation except for the Heat, Snakes, Scorpions, lack of water and what-not...!!! :D

Well make sure you take a few trips to the "Hill Country" (Austin Area)...!

    And remember this ditty:

The sun has riz..., the sun has set..., and you ain't driv'n thru Texas yet....!:D

    Happy trails "Bubba"...!:D

    Amarillo?

    hahaha

That's so far from everything else, it's like it's own little country. Plenty of rust-free old junk to play with out there. ;)

    Congrats on the new job!

I'll be there for two years about, hoping to get something in Houston after that.

Yup, where the three rivers meet, the Tri-Cities. I think we got what you got, except for the scorpions. What a strange place for a metal band to retire... ;)

Don't worry about whether or not I'll like the Texas panhandle. I always make the best of wherever I am.

You, my friend, are the only person I have ever in my life heard say: "I want to move to Houston."

and, oh yes, visit the hill country; home of the 101% allergin count.

Trust me, houston will be better than the panhandle. My dad is with conoco phillips here, building a 35 chevy coupe. see you at the round up, and welcome
