1958 Buick pulling power

    Has anyone got any factory specs on the pulling power of a 1958 Buick.
    I want to put a hitch on my car so i can pull trailor with my 1947 chevy coupe or 1948 chevy convertible.
    I mean how much waight/pond kilogram can i pull.

    Ican't give you actual numbers but my Fire Dept had a 57 Chevy Fire Engine that had a Buick 364 in it for power stock from GM. That thing weighed 28,000 lbs and it hauled the mail. Five speed manual with a two speed rear end. 35 mph up the Grapevine (9,2% upgrade) on Hwy 99 in that era. I sure wouldn't be afraid to use one for your intentions. BUT... make sure you use a strong drive line. If you need more don't hesitate to send a P/M.
