    couple old pictures here,
as cast on 394 in mock up,
    and polished on 371

as cast is tough looking but I dig the shiny stuff too

That is an IH 345, bit of a different motor to stick a 6-71 on. Here is a dyno video of that same motor.

This is a really cool thread.

Would anyone happen to have any color pics of 60's vintage blower setups they could add? Been looking for some inspiration for my Galaxie's engine, have seen many black and white pics of old blown engines, not many in color.

Also, 2 other 'finish' questions- would anyone know if hard anodizing was around back then, and, can that goldish type finish (Dow 7??) be applied successfully to aluminum?

Debating the anodizing/Dow 7 look for the blower for my engine. Really would like it to have a more competition look than a polished show car look.

    Thanks for your time.

That blown Binder is one bad Mo-fo. Nice manifold too. What kind of power did it make?

Did you put any additional filters into those spark arrestors? Very cool build!

What are you guys running on the BBCs?? I heard that you can get away with a early "big volume" 6-71 on a BBC over 500 cubes if you just want to drive it on the street. Opinions?

Anyone running mechanical fans on their blower for cooling?

  24. Yes, I have a mechanical fan. It's even pretty small at 12" Diamter and works. It's on the water pump though and not on the blower :D
