Hey guys! figured I'd go ahead and introduce myself. My name is Rick. built quite a few cars right now I have a 1953 customline. Bought it a couple months ago from a guy in oklahoma. already had a new 350/TH350 combo put in it. Since I have gotten it I have cut a coil and half out of the front and two inch blocks in the back. almost done swapping a foxbody mustang rear end in it to update that a little. went from the 3:91 gear to a 3:08 since I drive alot on the highway... just gotta put in the driveshaft and bend some brake lines tonight. ( If the wife didn't make a honey-do list for me!!!) well on with the pics..... Anyways, look forward to talking and hanging out with you guys!
Hey Rick, perfect timing, we have our straykat starliner show this weekend at the air museum, party and cook out at my place friday evening.Will be lots of HAMBERs here, I live between derby and mulvane, we should have a couple hundred folks out here.Its strictly hot rods and kustoms, so you'll fit right in.Check out the thread on here for starliner.Hope to see ya here! Thanks guys! been researching pretty hard at building a custom grille. Can't decide if I'm gonna go the bar/tube style or build a pull knob grille. First choice would be the "teeth" but thats also the most expensive! Got the drive shaft in last night so all thats left is to make a new brake line. I've always hung out with the race car people. but my heart has always been with the old school cars. so it will be nice to get to know you guys!
