Hot Rods Why the hell are there holes drilled here?

    Doing a cam swap on the 34, pulled off the carb and saw these two holes drilled inside the intake?? They just go thru the first plane not all the way thru, it runs fine but ive never seen this , any ideas??[​IMG]

    Kind of looks like EGR ports. Hard to tell without seeing the whole intake.

    Those holes just run from one plane to the next right??

    I think some one was doin some ex-per-imentin.... :D

    X2, why it would be done I don't know. When you removed the intake was the exh. cross over blocked off? I would say it was or it would of run like crap.

    Never seen that before, must be an experiment. Maybe some sort of equalizer ports?
