If u had the chance to build the dream truck what truck would u use? Im a ford guy so i would use a ford f1 or f100. I got to thinking about it while i was looking through my r&c little pages. The ones with the dream truck build in them.Just thought i would toss this out there and see what yall would build.
Just a stone stock looking '56 half ton with the Canadian Mercury trim painted jet black, SBF, built as a daily driver.
Well the "Dream Truck" was an AD truck and I couldn't buid it the closest I could come to building the "dream Truck" would be a copy. my dream truck is a '34 Ford, I have wanted one for ages. One of the elusive vehicles for me. I really can't put m,y finger on a power train but it would have to be stout for sure. A 430 MEL would make a cool cruiser but I would no doubt choose something of the more high winding catagory.
Black 28/29 roadster pick up, full fendered. 32' grille, 3 1/2" drop axle, 40' banjo fully dressed 59AB with a 39' trans. 40' wheels with firestones........... and a little cutie setting next to me, well... I am dreaming.
since im a ford guy after reading about the dream truck.i could see a 48-50 f1 shorten and choped with a 331 or 392 hemi or a 61-62 t-bird 390 in it.paint would be a green with tuck an roll seat.
I have my dream truck. At least the makings of it. 1953 Studebaker 2R5 1/2 ton. I hope to start on it after I race at Bonneville. I want to have it finished by May of next year. I'll post pics of the build. Let's just say it will be like no other Stude truck you have ever seen. Here's a pic of the (free) starter package. Look for a build post later this year. Dan
Model A RPU in gloss black, with a small Hemi and chromies & whitewalls would be a dream, but a nightmare to actually fit into for a fat bugger like me. So probably a one of one 37 Nash sitting way low & carved out of an old sedan. , and with the Hemi and the chromies and whitewalls. The front panels on those are awesome. Or a 37-39 Studebaker truck done the same. At least I could fit into them
I am building my dream truck! It's not everyone's cup of tea, but dreams are a personal thing, right?
I just really like '60s-'71 Dodge W300s, ungainly-looking bastards that they are. It'd be fun to have one set up for towing, and with a super-sized RB engine and medium truck 5-speed, or maybe a 6BT.
I actually looking for an AD to build in that style as a shop truck but without the wings and shit on it. In my oipinion the truck looked best when it was just chopped, sectioned, lowered and the pancake work done before they started to doodle with it. The stance and lines were perfect. That's how I'll do mine, no frills. The origional series gives all the dimensions needed to clone away, which is half the game. Also since this will be a parts chaser, I'm using a drivetrain out of a 2010 pickup, computer, cat and all. Super nice driver and decent fuel eco. Best of both worlds.
'55 or '65 Chevy with strepside fenders, chopped, maybe section. Straight six. Somethin like The Dream truck or Kopper Kart or Sandy's Ford with Chrysler front end. A semi radical custom. Always wanted on since my dad almost gave me his C10. Maybe I should see if I can fine somethin...
1948-1953 Chevy 5-window with a Ford 351 Windsor ('actually saw one with that engine and it was cool)...
