Cool, V6-4speed? Sounds like a fun buggy for a young family.

What a gem, it puts off a great vibe, usually a smile. Looks like a blast, enjoy the little treasure. ~sololobo~

Was that supposed to be in direct competition to the mini cooper - morris minor?

Looks to be a bit bigger than the minis and morris stuff.

The engine looks to be mid 70's or early 80's judging by the blocked off egr plate.

  15. This car was just the natural progression of the Ford Popular/ Anglia from previous years. Its direct competition would have been the Morris Minor ( Moggy) the Mini came out in 59 and would compete somewhat afterwards.

    This is my "59 Escort, which I have owned since 1973. It has a 215" aluminum Buick V8, T-10 4 speed & a narrowed 9" Ford. In 2005 I chopped the top 4 1/2". Bob

Well I'm glad the previous owner gave me the f/r glass. Replacement windows would have been 1500.00 in material alone.

Looks like trim, rubber, and seals are going to be what breaks the bank on this car.

Yes "popped" I guess you just didn't get it.......... I think the same thing with those corny picker bastards saying it all the time. The OOOOO's make laugh too but it's not funny if you have to explain it. I'll leave the comedy to Muttley.

    Again, cool car Chopperman.

The engine is a 2.8L 60 degree Ford V6 thats made in Germany. They where available in early 70's Murcury Capri's, and mid 1970's Pinto's, and Mustang II's. They have a lot of potential. I put one in my O/T 72 Pinto with a AirResearch T4 turbo on it, with only 5 psi of boost it was a beast! :D
