I found these pics of this Model T speedster on an auction site for a big liquidation sale. Check out the unique wheels. Looks like a home-brew mix of stock T hubs, later-model hoops, and some tube. Anyone seen anything similar before?
those wheels appear to be off some sort of farm impliment and that whole thing looks like it was built for farm use and i seems to be one of a kind.
Neat, and lots of possibilities... I would be concerned about them at speed though, until you know a bit more about them... Cheers..........
I know I've seen those wheels somewhere, and it wasn't agricultural. I remember seeing them on an early Ford street rod, and later on a big '70s GM car. Sorry to be so vague, but I think those crude suckers were made by a real company.
kinda look like old invader wheels, but i don't know if they made em for cars, freaken cool either way,,,,so did ya get em?
Sorry guys, should have included that It's this weekend in Bennington, Nebraska, here's where I noticed it: http://bringatrailer.com/2011/07/25/150-car-grab-bag-nebraska-farm-and-barn-auction/ .
Very old John Deer. I have seen them on farm impliments before as well. I would be more interested in the coupe behind it if it were me.
Farm implement wheels. The wheels look a bit like these below, just remounted or an updated style to accept inflatable tires. Yes, I see these are only 5 spoke......
Ditto on; 'they look like old Invaders rims", but I'm gessin' they are not. I know they made round and square spokes. I have some on my Harley. Cool as shit though!!
