Those are 1940 Studebaker Commander taillights...rare and hard to find... Off this car: Here's some in the rain... You need some...??? R-
They definitely look 1940s vintage. I would have guessed Cadillac, DeSoto, and maybe even Nash or Hudson. The reflectors were used by many like Plymouth. But they do not match any I found. At this point I am guessing cab clearance lights or port lights on a 1940s vintage boat.
I reeally hate to say this Mach0415...but you really should read the WHOLE thread BEFORE you reply...!!! They've been identified and even pictures of the car they came on are shown...!!! R- PS, Here's a frontal shot: R-
Sorry dude. Don't get angry. I read the whole thread. At that time it was still unidentified, so I jumped in to help. It just so happens you had the info as I was pecking this out one letter at a time. Whilst searching google pics to satisfy my own inquisitive spirit, several posted in the process - slow typer. My work with tools is better than that of computers. The lights look pretty cool. Studes have always been one of the most exotic American rides in my mind. Part of the reason why I join forums like this is to glean information with humility and humbleness and with willingness to help where I can. So, if I somehow insulted you or offended you by trying to be resourceful, I apologize.
This is assuming those are stock tail lights on that "custom" Stude? I am guessing from your pics, you know the owner of that beautiful car!
